Kids Who Care

In Victoria there are more than 5000 children and young people who are the major carers for a parent with a disability ( very often a lone parent) or a secondary carer for a brother or sister with a disability.

For these children, the burden of caring for a relative with a disability, managing a household, caring for younger siblings and still keeping up with schooling, homework and some social life is enormous.

The anguish and guilt the parent with a disability feels in seeing their child in this position is beyond measure. The money you donate will be used to provide a better quality of life to the child/young person through.

  • Granting of funds to pay bills, food school costs
  • Providing programs such as camps outings, holiday activities
  • Respite care for the disabled parent

If you know of any children or young people who would benefit from the Foundation’s activities please contact us.
